Kandili is an Orthodox Christian daily companion. We built it to respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with information.
Your chosen tradition and calendar, your prayer rule, saved items, prayer and prayer rope counts, and app settings are saved locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Removing the app removes this data.
When you send a question to the in-app companion, the text of your question is sent to our server and then to an artificial intelligence provider that generates the answer, which is returned to you. These questions are used only to produce your answer. They are not linked to your identity (there is no account), and they are not used for advertising or profiling. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your questions.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchase and subscription status is handled by Apple and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, using an anonymous identifier so the app knows whether Premium is active. We never see your payment details.
If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. We do not run a server that sends you push notifications.
Kandili is suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the date above.
